The Dante Coal and Railroad Museum receives Russell County Beautification Award.  Each year the Russell County Chamber of Commerce presents a "Beautification Award" to those businesses and non-profit organizations who have restructured their business by remodeling, building or just showing vast improvements which would lend to the visual enhancement of the community. The 2007 recipients of this prestigious award are our very own museum, and Century 21, located in Lebanon.

Best Wishes Mark!
Mark Kidd, who has been employed as our Vista worker for the past year, has accepted a position with Appalshop in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Appalshop is a multi-disciplinary arts and education center in the heart of Appalachia producing original films, video, theater, music and spoken-word recordings, radio, photography, multimedia, and books. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Mark's help has been greatly appreciated and he will definitely be missed!
